1. Biblia spune că soţul este capul familiei (1 Corinteni 11:3). Soţul trebuie să aibă o singură soţie. Ei trebuie să fie căsătoriţi legal. — 1 Timotei 3:2; Tit 3:1.

2. Soţul trebuie să-şi iubească soţia ca pe sine însuşi. El trebuie să o trateze aşa cum îşi tratează Isus continuatorii (Efeseni 5:25, 28, 29). El nu trebuie să-şi lovească niciodată soţia sau să o trateze în vreun fel cu cruzime. Dimpotrivă, el trebuie să-i arate onoare şi respect. — Coloseni 3:19; 1 Petru 3:7.

3. Tatăl trebuie să lucreze din greu pentru a avea grijă de familia sa. El trebuie să le asigure soţiei şi copiilor hrană, îmbrăcăminte şi locuinţă. Tatăl trebuie să se îngrijească şi de necesităţile spirituale ale familiei (1 Timotei 5:8). El ia iniţiativa pentru a-şi ajuta familia să înveţe despre Dumnezeu şi scopurile Sale. — Deuteronomul 6:4–9; Efeseni 6:4.

4. Soţia trebuie să fie un ajutor potrivit pentru soţul său (Geneza 2:18). Ea trebuie să-şi ajute soţul la învăţarea şi educarea copiilor (Proverbele 1:8). Iehova pretinde de la o soţie să se îngrijească cu iubire de familia sa (Proverbele 31:10, 15, 26, 27; Tit 2:4, 5). Ea trebuie să aibă un respect profund faţă de soţul său. — Efeseni 5:22, 23, 33.

5. Dumnezeu le cere copiilor să asculte de părinţii lor (Efeseni 6:1-3). El le pretinde părinţilor să-şi instruiască şi să-şi disciplineze copiii. Părinţii trebuie să petreacă timp cu copiii lor şi să studieze Biblia cu ei, să se îngrijească de necesităţile lor spirituale şi afective (Deuteronomul 11:18, 19; Proverbele 22:6, 15). Părinţii nu trebuie să-şi disciplineze niciodată copiii cu asprime sau cu cruzime. — Coloseni 3:21.

6. Când între partenerii de căsătorie apar probleme, ei trebuie să încerce să aplice sfaturile Bibliei. Biblia ne îndeamnă să arătăm iubire şi să fim iertători (Coloseni 3:12–14). Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu nu încurajează separarea drept o cale de rezolvare a problemelor minore. Însă o soţie ar putea alege să-şi părăsească soţul dacă: 1) acesta refuză cu încăpăţânare să-şi susţină familia, 2) este atât de violent, încât sănătatea şi viaţa ei sunt puse în pericol sau 3) acesta se opune cu atâta înverşunare, încât ea nu i se poate închina lui Iehova. — 1 Corinteni 7:12, 13.

7. Partenerii de căsătorie trebuie să fie fideli unul altuia. Adulterul este un păcat împotriva lui Dumnezeu şi împotriva partenerului de căsătorie (Evrei 13:4). Relaţiile sexuale în afara căsătoriei reprezintă singurul motiv scriptural pentru divorţ care permite recăsătorirea (Matei 19:6–9; Romani 7:2, 3). Iehova urăşte situaţiile în care oamenii divorţează fără a avea motive scripturale şi se căsătoresc cu altcineva. — Maleahi 2:14–16.

Healing at The Cross


The cross of Christ brings healing. He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities and with His stripes we are healed.

Your victory and recovery must begin internally, within your heart. Praise to God must be the foundation.

All transformation is internal, first and foremost. Then the change becomes apparent externally, as well.

When you think about it, it makes sense that all change must come from inside, not from mere external actions. We see the same pattern in the natural realm. Scientists explain that you cannot change an element unless you change its nucleus. In order for a person to change, the nucleus or innermost self must change first.

"If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought up on the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee." -Exodus 15:26

The God of Liberty


Why praise God? Because He's the mighty God who has brought life and liberty. John 8:36 declares, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Why praise God? There are countless wonderful incentives mentioned throughout the Bible. Let's look at seven vital reasons for you to begin moving into a deeper dimension of praise.

First, praise is where God lives. When you praise Him, you come to His house. Psalm 22:3 says, "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel." God inhabits the praise of Israel. Praise is God's address, so when you praise Him you are coming to where He lives.

Second, praise is the access you are given to the presence of God. Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name." You enter into God's gates with thanksgiving in your heart and into His courts with praise.

Third, praise is a God-given garment that drives away the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3 says that God has given you "the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." A garment is this instance of Scripture refers to a covering against oppression and any burden that tries to weigh you down.

Fourth, praise brings deliverance. Psalm 50:23 says, "Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God." If you want to experience deliverance in your life, you must praise the Lord. The word salvation in this verse also means deliverance. Praise breaks the chains that bind you.

Fifth, praise brings protection and preservation. Psalm 59:17 says, "Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defense, and the God of my mercy." There is protection in praise, and when you honor the Lord you will be preserved.

Sixth, praise is an arsenal against your enemies. Praising God helps you fight the enemy. The Lord is mighty, and when you speak of Him the devil is constrained. Psalm 149:6 says, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand."

Seventh, praise releases God to do battle for you. 2 Chronicles 20:22 says, "And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten."

When Israel began to sing and praise God, God began to fight for it.

As you lift your praises to Him, the Lord goes before you to fight on your behalf. God brings mighty liberty. Freedom in the Spirit belongs to you---as you praise Him today!
